Principal - Mrs Lisa Sherratt (nee Gallafent)

Starting dance classes at four years old, I had found something I loved to do and by the age of eight, had taken my first major ballet examination.

Through my school years I danced six days a week, somehow managing to combine dance with schoolwork.  Whilst taking 'A' Levels at upper school, one of which of course was dance, I decided to further my dance studies fill time at a professional dance college where I could dance all day long!

Attending the Margaret Howard Theatre College under the watchful eye of Miss Elizabeth Harrison, I studied Ballet, Modern, National, Jazz & Drama.  During my two years at college, I gained my associate teaching examinations in dancing, also achieving a Gold L.A.M.D.A qualification in drama.  Whilst at College I performed at the London Palladium and Her Majesty's Theatre in London with the Mardi Gras Productions.

When I left college in July 2001, I was delighed to be invited to teach at the school in which I very first experienced my love for dance but decided instead to open up my very own school where I could

pass on my knowledge and love for dance to the children in my local area.

I am also still studying myself, gaining the new teaching qualifications that have only just been created by the ISTD to fall in line with the new government regulations, this not only includes teaching exams but also health and safety and child development for becoming a good teacher.
